Review of the Boyz II Men Concert with the Oregon Symphony
Anyone that was a product child of the 90s remembers who Boyz II Men are. Back in the 90s this quartet had world wide success; it all started with their song “End of the Road” in 1992. This song broke the decades-old record by Elvis Presley of longest song at #1 on the Billboard charts with 13 straight weeks at number 1. The quartet then broke their own record when they released “I’ll Make Love to You” & “One Sweet Day” with 14 & 16 weeks respectively.
Now this was different then most concerts that just pump in music; the men were singing along side the Oregon Symphony. I would have to start out saying that this combination is truly masterful and full of pleasantries. Boyz II Men have been singing for over more than 20 years and they still can hold their smooth harmonies. If you’re in Vegas and want to do something with a little class you’ll definitely want to go see their show at the Mirage. They sang several of their classics and myself growing up with their music it took me back to my childhood. You can’t say enough about the Oregon Symphony as well; true talent & a talent that in today’s society is being forgotten.
To close out the show, Boyz II Men recognize that without classical music there would be no Boyz II Men. A statement that really needs to be emphasize, we can’t forget about this type of music & hopefully some of the patrons from the sold out crowd keeps that in mind and comes back to see & support the Oregon Symphony..
