Star of Hope Event in Portland

The world today is full of horrible actions and poisonous opinion that can make it hard to maintain belief in the world around us. Many actions take place that makes us wonder where we are going as a species and as a society at large. However, sometimes stories take place that, when see them, will warm the heart and the soul in equal measure. These stories, though, don’t often get the traction that they deserve.

One such event that we covered at Home Bleachers comes from the Star of Hope. This wonderful organization looks to help those who are in need of assistance. From those suffering from physical disabilities and limitations to those who are unable to live life to the fullest, Star of Hope gives them the opportunity to live life to the max.

Recently, they held an event in Portland, Oregon, to help raise money. This benefit concert seen many stars come together across the board, with major names like Laura Bretan. The concert was used to try and help to raise funds to assist young disabled children from Romania. Without external support, they may never get to enjoy the quality and depth of life that they should have been able to.

Working in Romania and across the world in general, Star of Hope help to put together life-affirming events that helps those in need. While it’s sad that we’re the only media outlet we can find who covered this story, it’s a great story that shows so much work goes on behind the scenes to help those who are most in need.

Taking place over at the Philadelphia Romanian Pentecostal Church in Portland, the event was a major hit. The group themselves have been a major part of helping Romanians to help find their feet in the world, and have done since 1989. Alongside stars like Laura, they were able to put on a wonderful experience that was great for the locals to help connect with the real aims and mission statements from the Star of Hope.
