KISS Heads To The Moda Center As Part Of Their “End of the Road World Tour.”

If you’re a member of The KISS Army who happens to be living anywhere that’s within driving distance of The City of Roses, then you’ll want to go ahead and keep the evening of Saturday, February 1st available, and make sure to cancel any potentially conflicting plans.

That’s because the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame act and legendary band KISS will be performing at the Moda Center in downtown Portland that evening, as one of their many stops in their final farewell trip, titled the “End of the Road World Tour.”

Co-founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, plus longtime guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer will reunite for said tour, which was originally announced a few months ago on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” singing competition show. While the current tour fails to mention the inclusion of original members Peter Criss and Ace Frehley, Simmons and Stanley have openly discussed possible cameos from the duo. Regardless, the overall announcement sent shockwaves through the music world, with the band’s loyal fans looking to snap up tickets for their last chance to see the famed quartet.

The band will commence the first part of their tour by playing at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on January 31st. From there, they’ll make their way to Portland, and then numerous other stops in the western United States. Beginning in the early spring, the band will make their way around the Midwest, and finally end the first leg of their tour in the southeastern portion of the country sometime in April.

After that, the band will tour through Europe starting in late May, making several stops in Germany, Austria, Sweden, Russia, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, and finally ending in the United Kingdom. There also appear to be plans to tour through Australia in late 2019.

Those fans in the Portland area who are interested in purchasing tickets – or even access to some other cool promotions – are able to do so now. KISS Meet & Greet Experiences were made available in the Fall of 2018 through www.kissonline.com, and tickets went on sale as of November 1st. The band has also made VIP experiences and KISS Army fan presales available for its most loyal devotees.

In a statement published by the band, KISS promises the tour to be “the ultimate celebration” for those who wish to see the band, or those who have yet to see them, and indicated that this will be their biggest show yet, going out the same way they came in: “Unapologetic and Unstoppable.”

Famously known for their iconic music, extraordinary live performances that included everything from fire breathing to blood spitting to levitating drum kits, and personalities that are just as famous as they are infamous, KISS remains one of the most beloved musical groups of all time, with fans of all ages and generations appreciating their work. The group has sold more than 100 million records and 25 million RIAA-certified albums worldwide.

KISS was enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April of 2014.
