Portland, OR—January 1, 2014—This February, Leatherman Tool Group will debut an updated line of their pioneering Juice multi-tools. Vibrant and warm, these stylish and functional multi-tools will contain all of the ease and performance consumers expect from Leatherman, along with an all new striking color scheme that instantly calls to mind the colors of an outdoor adventure.

“The change in color palette comes from extensive research describing consumers’ need to escape from the barrage of technology, return to nature, and invigorate their senses,” said industrial designer Kenny Lohr. “We intended to capture this essence with the updated Juice multi-tools; creating something functional for urban users, but primarily resonating with those more focused on their backpack than their briefcase.”

The much-loved and time-tested features on the Juice C2, S2, CS4, and XE6 remain unchanged. All four models have a closed length of 3.25 in. and range between 4.4 oz. and 6.9 oz. in weight making them a perfect size for a pocket or purse and creating a tool that will be easily accessible for even the most active of users. In addition, an increase in texture and tone to the updated line of Juice tools advances the connection and experience users will have with the tools.

“Texture was a big part of the design process. We felt it was necessary to give the Juice tools a natural look and feel,” added Lohr. “Additionally, the texture provides tactility and grip to the tools, creating an update that improves the all-around user experience.”

The updated Juice line will begin shipping in Spring 2014. All Juice tools will be covered by Leatherman’s 25-year warranty.
