Oregon Ducks Route Arizona 51-13, Win Pac-12 Championship

No. 3 Oregon vs. No. 8 Arizona – Postgame Notebook

•The Ducks have won 12 games four times in the last five seasons.

•Marcus Mariota passed for a touchdown for the 39th straight game – every game of his career – which is the second-longest streak in FBS history. He’s the first player to do so in his first 39 games played.

•With five more total touchdowns (2 pass, 3 rush), Mariota extended his own Pac-12 single season record for total touchdowns to 53 (38 pass, 14 rush, 1 rec). His 10 games with four or more touchdowns is the most in the FBS this season.

•Mariota’s three rushing TDs were a career-high. He has rushed for a score in five straight games, totaling nine TDs.

•Johnathan Loyd became the first player in conference history to win Pac-12 football and basketball championship games.

•Oregon improved to 20-0 all-time when Mariota runs for at least one score.

Royce Freeman had his sixth 100-yard rushing game of the season, finishing with 137 on 21 carries. His 1,322 rushing yards on the year are the second-most by a freshman in Pac-12 history and seventh-most in a season at UO.

•Matt Pierson made his started at left guard for the first time in his UO career.

•Mariota has passed for multiple TDs in 13 straight games – the longest active streak in the FBS. It was also his 22nd consecutive game with 200 or more passing yards.

•Erick Dargan had his team-leading sixth interception of the season. His 12 career picks are tied for ninth in school history.•The Ducks hare now 2-0 in Pac-12 championship games.

•Devon Allen scored his team-high seventh receiving touchdown and first since the previous game against the Wildcats on Oct. 2.

•The Ducks went 2-0 at Levi’s Stadium this year, totaling 110 points.

Charles Nelson (7-104) and Darren Carrington (7-126) each recorded the first 100-yard receiving game of their respective careers.

•Byron Marshall had five more receptions, giving him 61 for the season. That total is tied for seventh on the Ducks’ single-season list.

•Mariota now has 4,442 yards of total offense on the year, which is a new UO single-season record.

•Oregon allowed zero sacks in the game after giving up five to the Wildcats during the first meeting this season.

•Aidan Schneider extended Oregon’s string of made field goals to 11 straight with a pair in the 1st quarter. It’s the Ducks’ longest-such streak since Morgan Flint hit 11 in a row without a miss during the 2009 season. UO’s current streak ended with a miss in the 2nd quarter.

•The Ducks won despite committing a season-high 13 penalties.

•UO improved to 59-7 this decade – the most wins in the FBS – and have won 52 of those games by 14 or more points.
